Tbh i think the ease of this mission/bonus depends ENTIRELY on the mursaat boss that appears. I did the bonus earlier on my warrior using a PUG. 1 of the Eles left, was a bit of an idiot tbh... kept going on about how he was taking the king (took ages to load but we decided our monk was taking him anyway..) then the first thing he did was run past the group of Herders/Golem and across the bridge and die... Then started ranting about how he said he was taking the king... weird people... anyway he left later on after seeming quite bemused as to how we opened the gate near the fort...
We didn't seem to be killing things all that fast, had a few hectic moments, coupled with other idiotic team members just running off somewhere and getting killed (happened 3 times... all with different people).
Reason why i think it depends on the boss. We had the Perfected Cloak turn up, this boss absolutely SUCKS. If it had been the Perfected Armour we'd have been screwed so badly. The Cloak is just useless though, does little to no damage and spends most its time using a very low ranked Whirling Defences.
The Ele boss might've been trickier, but you can always Disrupt/Distract Chain Lightning and he becomes quite useless (still better than the Cloak though...)
Mesmer boss? It gets some decent damage from Surge if everyones close, other than that all it can do it annoy with Leak.
Necro, pretty nasty degen gets thrown around, but it can't do anything else (specially with Lina randomly throwing Shield of Regen onto people).
And the Monk boss, you've probably got an easy ride if this boss appears if your using henchman.
Why? Pugs are absolutely useless for following targets, mine today ignored my 'get the boss later' comment and left me to kill a Mursaat Ele alone, by the time i'd done they'd FINALLY killed the Cloak.
Henchman follow targets very well most of the times, if you don't wanna go for a boss, they'll annihilate what you target, plain and simple.
This is mainly why fighting the Perfected Armour becomes so difficult with henchman. In a pug you can quite easily body block him and just take hits while the team work on the rest of them, in a pug, moment you target somet else the warriors rush off. 9/10 times the Armour goes straight for Mhenlo and batters him senseless, if your lucky he goes for another henchman and you can win (he went for Eve on my 2nd attempt on Ranger, she survived barely while we killed the rest off and eventually took out the Armour).
So for henchman Ranger<Monk<Mesmer/Necro/Ele<Warrior (the 3 casters are purely dependant on your skillbar and profession)
Pugs, Ranger<Monk<Ele<Mesmer<Necro<Warrior
The ranger boss pretty much guarantees a win, the Jade Bows deal so little damage is funny, monk can be a bit trickier but still not that hard. If you have a competant interrupter on your team (be it Pug or henchman) the Ele goes down without doing anything useful. The necro is much the same, it just takes longer because the git likes to spam Renewal. The mesmer is just plain annoying with Surge and Leak. The warrior is just destructive, henchman you need luck to get through it imo, Pugs you just need a warrior with half a brain (or a prot monk w/ PS ) but he can still be quite deadly if your team don't know how to handle it. Even more so if they start throwing AoEs at it and make it leave the warrior, another reason its even harder for henchman (damn Cynn and Firestorm!)

That's odd, I guess you don't even need running skills anymore to light the beacons in time, they must have changed the timer. Just tried it with my necro and henches, and was able to light the beacons in time, no problem.
@Evilsod
Actually, that's the one I get a majority of the time, is the perfected armor. There's a way to draw his attention away if he's beating on the healer henches, then just run off and focus on the other things, and he starts beating on somebody else usually. The monk henches can heal somebody else better than themselves. The monk boss is really easy too, if you do it right.

Thats what i've been saying Its not even close to 30 seconds or you wouldn't be able to hench it without running skills.
Yeah the Perfected Armour appeared 3 times in a row for me. Lost the first 1 because he wouldn't leave Mhenlo alone, beat the 2nd one because he went after Eve instead, lost the 3rd one (Warrior this time) because i had to block the boss and the rest of the hench jsut got killed by the other mursaat.
Problem is running off isn't always the best of ideas when he's rampaging around about 2 hammer lengths from the King, you can just guarantee he'll turn round and kill him in 1.
